Kate is the Chief Legal Officer at Law Squared.
She brings over 20 years’ experience as a partner at KPMG, K&L Gates and Clayton Utz. That experience includes leading the KPMG Law business, delivering innovative solutions and developing high performing teams.
Her focus has been on supporting organisations to manage cybersecurity, utilise data within the organisation, understand how that data is used and embedding privacy across the business. This extends to advising on technology whether AI frameworks, contracting with platforms, SaaS or implementation projects. Protecting and commercialising IP to unlock value is also a core focus.
She is inspired by working collaboratively with her colleagues and clients and supporting their successes. Kate invests in developing a deep understanding of her clients’ businesses to enable the legal services she provided to align to the business, strategic and operational needs of that organisation.
Kate is passionate about innovation in the law and delivering legal services in a better way. She is excited by the opportunities to create efficiencies and improve the quality of the outcomes enabled by new and emerging tools and technology.
Kate is also a director of the Epilepsy Foundation, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the many people who have epilepsy in Australia.
